About Selah Kennels
Selah Kennels, established by John-Michael and Maria Hynes in
2004, breeds AKC-registered Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs and French
Bulldogs. Both John-Michael and Maria have either owned or raised
dogs of one type or another all their lives.
We care about preserving the qualities that the originators and
dedicated fanciers of the breed so desired.
It is our committed goal here at Selah Kennels not only to do
business honestly and professionally, but to continue to breed and
promote dogs of quality.
The name "Selah" is of Biblical origin and dates back to the Old
Testament Book of Psalms. According to Biblical scholars, "Selah"
means to "take pause," either at the end of a musical break or a
verse of scripture. The writer uses this break to encourage the
listener or reader to take a moment to reflect on what they just
heard or read.
We like that notion, and that’s why we chose "Selah" as our name.
Because we believe God should receive all glory and praise for
everything, we encourage prospective dog owners to take time to
pause and reflect: Are the dogs that Selah Kennels shows, breeds,
promotes, loves and offers for sale the type of dog that will be
best suited for you and your family? We take great care in
raising these Swissies and Frenchies to ensure they’re the
finest-quality canines.
And hey, while you’re doing all this pausing and reflecting,
think about this: What kind of folks are you going to choose to do
business with? There are plenty of people out there whose only
motivation is the Almighty Dollar. Those people place little value
in breeding for quality of temperament, conformation and disposition
like Selah does.
So please call us at (856) 889-9399 or contact us online,
and we’ll be glad to help you with your dog ownership needs.
